Spotting and clotting excessively on depo..is there any way to stop it?

Yes: there are ways with prescription medication to stop it, and sometimes then it doesn't recur. Spotting however is a side effect and in some it never goes away although it is less than 10%

YES.: Your doctor may give you some estrogen. I find that the estrogen patch works well, one patch weekly for 2 week (may use low dose - 0.025 or 0.0375 mg). Also, your doctor may choose to administer your next dose of Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) sooner, 8-10 weeks after the last dose instead of the usual 12 weeks.

See your GYN: I thinks maybe you need to see your gyn. That doctor know what the answer is and it is nothing bad. It may be you have to stop the Depo for a while but DON 'T until you see your doctor.
