Not sure: of the question. Bilirubin of 11 is QUITE jaundiced and would indicate a significant liver problem. Malaria canoccur periodically and would be a reasonfor treatment. Many,many other bad things can do that and would be reasons for medical evaluation. in person.

Jaundice: Recurrent jaundice is caused by an inflammation of the liver, such as viral or bacterial hepatitis. It can also be caused by a bacterial infection. Some people get jaundiced more easily due to a problem with bilirubin metabolism. I would seek medical attention to find out what the cause can be.
