Several possible : It depends on what else is going on. When was your last period? What are you using for contraception? Are you using condoms? When in your cycle did this occur? It could be because of a pill taken late, ovulation bleeding,implantational bleeding, an infection. It sounds like you need an exam to say for sure what is going on.
