Essentially, no: See prior answers relating to pleurisy. Causes of pleurisy can be bacterial infectious, traumatic, viral, bleeding, tuberculosis....Anything which inflames the linings of the lung.

Can be similar: Inflammation of the lining of the lung causes pain particularly during inspiration. Children may have more difficulty explaining the pain than adults.
