Hydrate: Sunburn will not only hurt but dry you and your skin out. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and keep your skin hydrated by using a mild additive-free lotion. You will need to repeat the lotion periodically throughout the day. Use an anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen or Naprosyn (naproxen) to alleviate pain and discomfort.
