Heartburn: Heartburn triggers are different for everyone but some foods are frequent offenders. Things that stimulate the esophagus to relax and let food and stomach acid into your esophagus cause heartburn. The list is long but includes alcohol, meat, fried foods, licorice, fruit juices, milk, ice cream or sour cream, and for you beans. Not eating just before going to bed and eat smaller portions can help.
