PABA in sunscreen: The active ingredient list on the bottle of sunscreen should say PABA (or para-aminobenzoic acid, glyceryl PABA, padimate O and roxadimate) if this chemical is in the product. Due to the frequency of skin sensitivity and concern over long term effects of its use, other alternatives exist, such as zinc oxide.
