A member asked:

Age 30, angioedema as a result of seafood or motrin after a lifetime of consumption/use. is it likely a second exposure would be more serious?

EpiPen (epinephrine): Yes- the next expsure could be critical. I suggest an allergic medical consultation, a medi-alert card or necklace and have your physician prescribe an EpiPen (epinephrine) for life threatneing allergic reactions. Get an expert opinion-ASAP.

Angioedema = careful: If the response was indeed angioedema, it suggests an allergic reaction. Since reexposure can lead to a stronger second response and even to anaphylaxis (can cause death), you should only reexpose under the eye of an allergist who is prepared to treat emergent anaphylaxix. I'm a primary care doc; I would never reexpose a patient in my office!
