Withdrawal and sex: Sperm is in the fluid that is discharged before orgasm,so withdrawal is not very effective . Sperm live up to 7 days and fertility is over 24 hour after ovulation which is 2 weeks before a period -day 14 of 28 day cyc. Can test for ovulation by over the counter test tests. Consider effective methods as pills, rings, patches , etc, emergency contraception(do not use emergency routinely).
