Implantation time: Generally pregnancy test can be done from the first day of your missed period which gives fertilized egg time to get implanted and produce hcg. If you’re not sure when your next period is due, you can do a pregnancy test 14-21 days (two-three weeks) after you last had unprotected sex. In some women the time period for implantation can be as short as ~ 1 wk, after which they can test positive.
