First-trimester: It varies with how you define it. Decidual bleeding has no real definition, most physicians simply refer to first-trimester bleeding. This presumes the woman is pregnant. Light bleeding in the first trimester is very common, spotting may be more than 50%, heavier persistent bleeding is less common and more worrisome. Hope this helps.
