Decrease in Lexapro (escitalopram): That is a very small difference in dosage. Not sure how many days since you decreased dose to the current complaint. My first thought would be to wait a few more days to see if symptoms continue

Valium complicates: I can assume you are taking small doses of Valium every few hours 24 /7. Valium has a short half life and for this reason is not often used for long term management of Anxiety. Cutting back on the Lexapro (escitalopram) can cause transitory anxiety by multiple mechanisms (one is the interaction with Valium) Methotrexate use adds another variable. (peripheral neurotoxicity) Why was the Lexapro (escitalopram) dose reduced?

Might be: Patients with anxiety disorders on psychotropic medications should maintain dosages as directed by their mental health expert of general physician for finding ideal dosing and proper long term monitoring. While experienced patients may self adjust dosage in some cases as agreed upon with physicians, 6 wks seem a bit short interval for self adjusting dosage.
