A member asked:

I am 33 weeks pregnant and have gestational diabetes under control with diet. will it harm my baby if my sugar goes over once in a while?

Under control or not: if your blood sugar is under control, then it should not "go over every once in a while". Issues such as macrosomia (very large babies) can result from diabetes and the better controlled the blood sugar the better it is for the baby overall.
