Tonsilith: If you have recesses or crypts in your tonsils they will often collect debris which solidifies, almost like a tiny stone. These can potentially lead to infection. Good oral hygiene is important. They can be loosened by gargling with salt and water or an antiseptic solution. They can also be removed manually. Alternatively it could be a foreign body.
