Yes: The smear should contain cervical cells,otherwise the specimen is inadequate for interpretation.

PAP report: Yes, the PAP smear report would indicate whether or not the specimen was adequate for them to analyze. If not, then the procedure would have to be repeated, I am sorry to say.
