Missed abortion: is what obstetricians call it when an embryo passes and it is found out only weeks later. We don't know the answer as to why. You should get a transvaginal ultrasound soon to determine, if your baby is in the womb or outside the womb, if it is a singleton or multiple pregnancy, and if there is a heart beat over 100 beats per minute.

Unknown: Making a human being is complicated. Sometimes something goes wrong. When your body recognizes a problem, you have a miscarriage but this can be weeks later. Miscarriages happen in about 1 in 5 recognized pregnancies. Usually, the cause of the miscarriage is not known. Chromosome problems are common. Loss of appetite is normal in early pregnancy. Best wishes!
