Different symptoms: Episcleritis is an inflammation of the tissue on the surface of the white of the eye. It is usually on one side of one eye, is somewhat painful and quite red in that one spot. Chronic conjunctivitis usually involves the entire lining of the eye and is common to be on both eyes. It is irritating, light sensitivity is common and the lids may swell. See which one fits your eyes better.
