C. diff: I think you are asking about Clostridium difficile, also known as c. diff. C diff is a cause of diarrhea and can be a serious infection. It most frequently affects people who have recently taken antibiotics or who have been in a hospital or nursing home recently.

Clostridium?: Do you mean Clostridium difficile? C. diff is a bacterium that produces two toxins that cause severe diarrhea. C. diff can be present in the normal bacteria in the gut but it is also often spread in hospitals. It is very difficult to kill with ordinary antibiotics and can overgrow when the other gut bacteria are killed with routine antibiotic therapy. I hope this helps.
