How to tell if you need your tonsils removed? my tonsils are so big you can't see down my throat and i'm sure i'm getting tonsillitis

ENT: Have your doctor refer you to an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist to further evaluate your tonsils. There are certain criteria that will permit the ENT physicians to proceed with tonsillectomy.

Tonsils: Generally if you have 6 episodes in one year or three per year fro three years of culture proven bacterial infections or have significant sleep apnea (proven on sleep study) you would need them removed
