Gentle but be aware.: Gentle warm compresses can shorten the acne inflammation cycle. However, one should never squeeze cystic acne along the triangle of the nose because infected fluid can be introduced into your bloodstream that can spread infection. A trained medical aesthetician is best to help clean the skin and perform gentle extractions. Steam masks with special formulations can really help as well.
