Urinary retention: "Retaining" urine in the bladder without the bladder giving a signal to the brain saying, "Hey, I'm full! Let's go now!" is the formal medical term. There can be many reasons for this, ranging from muscle, nerve, brain, spinal cord problems, toxins, drug side effects, previous injuries, or other illnesses of the bladder. Make sure you see a urologist who specializes in bladder disease. Luck!
