Can you develop keratitis after retinal detachment surgery?

Yes: After any type of surgery, the eyes tend to get dry. That is a risk factor for keratitis. If there is a concern of keratitis, the most important thing is to see your surgeon. Sometimes post op infections can mimic keratitis early on.

Unusual: This would be very rare. Your ophthalmologist that performed retinal surgery can determine if you have any problems with your cornea.
