From neck irritation: Your description suggests irritation of the nerve that goes to that side of your hand coming from the neck. It could be due to having slept last night with your neck twisted or twisting your neck doing a sport or working out Generally, it will subside all by itself. If it persists for a few days or keeps recurring, you will need to see your physician for therapy to stop it.

Pinky numbness: your pinky numbness is probably temporary but may be due to nerve irritation or a pinched nerve either in your neck or your elbow region. I would try not to put direct pressure on your elbow and avoid carry heavy items on your neck or shoulder. If it continues for more than a few days you can see your doctor and he can send you for tests to check your nerves out. Good luck!
