A member asked:

Painful cramps & advil (ibuprofen) (400mg pill) only helps. took 3 today, last 1 around 1pm, & haven't been hungry since taking it. is this a normal side effect?

Yes: Advil (ibuprofen) can decrease your appetite. If you are experiencing stomach (upper abdominal pain) along with the decreased appetite you may be getting irritation from the advil (ibuprofen). Try making yourself eat something to help prevent this side effect.

Be careful: NSAIDs a type of drug that motrin belongs to can irritate the stomach and cause ulcers. Always take it with food? Are you having menstrual cramps? Or is it abdominal? Do you usually get cramps before your period.

I wish: no, not common. In theory might be from the stomach irritation from the advil (ibuprofen). Cannot say in your particular case, but not a common side effect.
