First time headache?: It's not wrong to visit the hospital if this is your first bad headache, the worst of your life. Ever have it before? If you are a 20 year old girl though, and you woke up with a pounding/throbbing headache on one side, associated with nausea or light sensitivity, it may be what you have is a migraine headache, which is painful, but not medically serious.
