Syncope: Black out or syncope is caused by many important conditions, such as problems with the heart, or the blood vessels, or the brain. Please call your doctor to have some testing arranged promptly. The headache you have had afterwards is not that serious and probably will not be a long term problem.

Yes! Get Checked Now: How did you pass out? Not judging, just want to know. If you were drunk, you don't really know how hard you hit your head. If you weren't drunk that's even more worrisome. Adults that have episodes of loss of conciousness usually have a cardiac cause. That needs to be looked at. You most likely have a concussion, but without a scan we dont know if you have more going on. Have a friend take U 2 ER.
