I do not know: As described, I am not sure what you were hearing. It could of been a groin strain and muscle issue, not sure if it was your Ovary you were hearing? With no pain and no issues after the noise, I would just let it go and monitor the area. If any pain or problems, then see your Dr. Best wishes.

Ovulation, cyst: Ovulation or small cyst rupture may be responsible. It is unusual for a ruptured cyst to cause so severe a problem that it needs surgery. If you are feeling better, routine follow up is all that is needed. You may want to see your GYN for treatment of menstrual cramps, and/or pain with "mittleschmerz", what the ovulation pain is called.
