A member asked:

I heard a loud popping noise in my knee during football. i saw 3 orthopedic drs and they all said it was a miniscus tear. how reliable is that?

Pretty good odds: The knee doesn't like lateral movements and torquing movements, both common in football plays. Get an MRI.

Very.: Studies have been done, & actually an orthopedic surgeon can diagnose it slightly better than an MRI.
