Fertile...: Men who are overweight, take prescription pills, and drink alcohol become fathers every day. If you are trying to conceive and have been unable, you should both visit with a fertility specialist. Highly possible: If you are trying to avoid a pregnancy you can't count on the fact that he is doing these things. Talk to your provider about contraceptive options and use condoms in the meantime. If you want to get pregnant you might consider waiting until he has stopped these habits and is ready to be a responsible parent. Being a parent is wonderful but difficult at times. You want as much help as possible.
