See doctor.: See the doctor who inserted it right away to have it removed temporarily, if necessary, for the area to heal. At least have your doctor look at it to make sure it hasn't been damaged. You can use an ice pack to decrease swelling and pain. Tylenol, (acetaminophen) Aleve, Ibuprofen, if no allergy, can help the pain in the meantime.

A nexplanation for u: You're probably OK, any injury can hurt for a while, BUT--depends on the injury. Those things can bend and a few have been reported to have fractured, leaking out more of the stuff inside and altering the overall effect--that is, you might have to get it replaced. If a minor bump, don't worry, but if you really whacked it and it stays sore or gets worse, have it checked out by your doctor.
