Sounds viral: A mouth virus will cause low grade fever and blisters. Rx anti-viral meds work well. Otc cold sore meds may help.

Cold sores: Fever blisters or aphthous ulcers. Can be brought on by stress, fever etc. Comfort (palliative) care will take care of it in 7 or so days. Good luck.
