See Your Doctor: 6 yr old bitten by "brown worm/slug". Slugs rarely cause problems to humans. The biggest concern following a bite is infection & the hallmark signs are pain, redness, swelling, fever. Infection can occur as early as 12 hrs after & antibiotics are needed. Immediately washing the wound can prevent infection in some cases. Give Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain. See your doctor for correct diagnosis & treatment.
