1 year old: Time out only works if there is time in. What I mean is give extra attention even if it is a rub on the back when she is being good. At one year of age, time out is putting her into a playpin without toys and should only last one minute after she stops crying. Do not try to talk to her while she is crying. Attention getting behavior is the main point of all behavior. Give her a lot of love.

A habit: Your 1 year old baby does not understand scolding and time out .She has developed this as habit which will go away on its own .But you can distract her attention by giving her some toys to play or something to hold in her hands (babies develop some habits which do not last long).Discuss with doctor that the baby is other wise healthy .
