No: Sometimes, people who have hypoglycemia can do well gluten free because some of the symptoms they were experiencing were due to that. It is certainly worth a try for 6 weeks. Just don't eat too much protein, which is no good either. Also be aware that any oats must say no gluten contamination or gluten-free. Cuz the silos can share space and some flour can mix with the oats. Let us know.i

Gluten free: Hi, I'm wondering what makes you want to go Gluten free, Gluten free diet won't affect your blood sugar but just remember because you limit yourself from a wide range of food then you might need Vitamin Supplements, not to mention increase in ur grocery budget.

No: In my 35 years of practice, I have never seen a case of reactive hypoglycemia. The disorder doesn't exist, if you're overweight the symptoms are a natural response to your glucose level returning to normal. A glucose tolerance test (if you've had one) is not and never will be a valid diagnostic test for hypoglycemia. Don't waste your money o GTT or any fad diets of treatments. Lose wt if heavy.
