Prostatitis: Causes of chronic prostatitis are numerous. Symptoms of prostatitis include: pain in the low back, above the pubic bone, between the genitals and anus, the tip of the penis, and the urethra; pain during urination; pain during ejaculation; pain with bowel movement; blood may be present in the urine. Pain can be sharp to dull depending on extent of inflammation. Exam by a physician is the key.
