Explain this to tech: Indeed, an EEG may not be helpful if you do not have an episode during recording. Be sure to mention that exercise is your trigger to the technologist when you go for your EEG. This way they can do their best to capture an episode. If you don't get the answer you need, have them call the ordering doctor or the neurologist. That being said, it may be difficult to do an EEG during vigorous exercise!

Good Question: The EEG will show signs of the proposed problem even if you are not having the full-blown symptoms. They don't want you to get hurt or suffer a complication. They just want to get a baseline EEG which will tell them a lot. BUT, if you want to entertain them, make an appointment and when there, do jumping jacks, then they can witness the real thing . (just kidding....sort of....)
