Is advil (ibuprofen) needed ?: Long term use, even every other day, esp. when older, can lead to kidney issues.So the question is Advil offering a discernible benefit as you have Oxy. If the answer is no, then stop Advil as it's also requiring use of Prevacid (lansoprazole) which will not minimize renal risk. Since many take NSAIDs for arthritic pain there are topical options including Lidocaine.Voltaren, however is a topical NSAID option
