A member asked:

Does a corrected calcium level of 2.65 mmol/l have any particular significance in an elderly male? the person also has numerous odd, skin bruises.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High calcium: This is slightly high. It can crystallize on blood vessels and organs and skin. Cause must be determined. Possibilities are malignancy, immobilization, myeloma, excess calcium intake as tabs, excess vit D, high parathyroid hormone. High calcium can damage kidneys and promote stones.
