A member asked:

What is the difference between linoeic acid and conjugated linoleic acid? is one good and one bad? are they both omega 6?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

LA: Linoelic acid (LA) is found in safflower oil , sunflower oil, poppy seed oil. Whereas conjugated LA found most in meat and diary products. They are isomers of LA. Both of them are polyunsaturated omega 6 fatty acid. Conjugated LA are usually found in supplements, pills etc. Both may POSSIBLY help with cancers and obesity. More studies need to be done. Hope this helps.
