Not Unusual: Many newborns don't like tummy time until they're able to move around and even turn over. It's not critically important now Torticollis is a neck muscle stiffness that responds to physical therapy. If you feel your child has a head tilt or can't move the neck freely, see your doctor soon. the sooner it's recognized the faster it responds

Concerned? Maybe PT: Some babies take some time to get used to tummy time so be patient. If torticollis is a concern, see your physician or find a PMR doc who can assess head shape and neck range of motion (ROM). Physical therapy may be an option and can educate you in techniques to improve ROM. Occasionally babies may benefit from helmeting as well to correct head shape which can develop as a result of torticollis.
