Occasionally: About 90% of those with concussions will feel back to normal in the matter of weeks. There are unfortunately a small percent with persistent symptoms. Evaluation by a neurologist who specializes in headaches and a sports medicine or PM&R doc to help with return to activity is that best means to recovery usually.

Several types of pai: There are several types of headaches following a concussion. 1. Post concussion headache - poorly localized, low grade. May respond to amitriptyline. 2. Trauma triggered migraine. 3. Head pain at site of laceration with scar formation so nerves in skin cannot get through ad develop small nerve bundle called a neuroma. You should see a neurologist who can diagnose and treat.
