10 days: A pregnancy test will be positive by about 10 days after ovulation and conception. If you wait until your period is due, that would be 14 days after ovulation and a pregnancy test will be positive if you have indeed conceived. If your periods are not regular and predictable then the timing is more difficult to estimate.

Dr. Higginbotham is 100% correct, but I'd add the tests are mostly reliable after 10 days but occasionally may get a negative that is positive on day 11. My first year as a fellow I biopsied a pregnant woman based on a negative p.o.d. 10 test. I've never seen one not be correct post-ov day 11. Cheers!
