A member asked:

What's the longest time your first period could last?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Everyone's different: I would say over a week seems to be the longer end of a period. That being said, it could certainly go on longer, but there are usually some hormonal issues that are going on underneath. At 16, you seem a little late to be having your first period, but not unheard of. Certainly seeing a gynecologist could help better answer this further.
