Balanitis: most skin infections of the penis are caused by fungi. most can be treated with topical antifungal's with our without a steroid. there are only one or two oral antifungal's that are typically used. These are usually reserved for cases that do not resolved with the topical creams. I would recommend you see a urologist for an examination

I was told to apply clotrimazole 1% for penile fungal Infection twice a day for 1 month. I have applied clotrimazole 1% for 2 weeks. My penis skin is peeling slightly. No itching. No redness. Does clotrimazole 1% make the skin peel?
