Variety: Everyone is different and even within the same person, the same process can present differently every time. Sometimes you may have a more severe or less severe stye and a number of factors, some out of your control, will contribute to this. But I wouldn't worry about the differences beyond the fact, that if it is causing vision changes, severe pain, has drainage then seek an inperson evaluation.
