Appropriate: Doxycycline is given to cover chlamydia. Most clinicians treat gonorrhea with one shot of rocephin (ceftriaxone). It should not be necessary for you to take additional oral meds. Be sure to see your GYN in 1-2 weeks to be recultured to make sure both infections are gone. Be sure to inform your partner to be treated. Refrain from sexual activity until both are cleared. Discuss birth control with your GYN.
