Rash: Rash between buttocks is usually ' jock itch' or fungus. Treat with antifungal and steroid ointment for about a mnth

Keep Clean And Dry: Chronic chafing due to breakdown of skin caused by daily moisture/heat/bacteria is likely cause of symptoms. Inflamed skin darkens after healing, color may lighten with time. Do wash daily with soap/water, taking care to cleanse after bowel movements, use sensitive-skin baby wipes between washing. Dry thoroughly, may use diaper powder with zinc oxide for sore areas. See doctor if problems healing.
