Have urine tested: If urine doesnt smell right. Go to your doctor and have it tested. Urine is normally sterile and doesnt have a particular odor.
Dr. David Houghton
Specializes in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
Urine does smell like weak ammonia, since it has this and other waste products (like meds) in it. But it should not smell like feces, which has a more sulfur-like odor from all the bacteria in it. Urine is sterile unless infected. Try drinking more water to make the urine as pale as possible and if still smells strange, get it tested.

Foul Smelling urine: The fact that your urine smells bad could be secondary to yo.ur diet or any medications or that you have a recto-vesical fistula which is very unlikely at your age. Need to be evaluated by your gynecologist
Dr. Shari Schabowski
Specializes in Emergency Medicine
For how long?: There is actually a possibility that you can have a connection between your urinary tract and your GI tract although that woud be a serious problem. Also urinary tract infections can cause foul smelling urine. Vaginal infections may also be foul smelling. All and all it sounds like it is time to see the MD

Many possibilities: Urine smelling stronger could be the product of food or drink (asparagus for example lead to increased urine odor), hydration, or urine infection. If this persists you will need to see your doctor to have a urinalysis and urine culture and examination.

Different reasons: Certain foods (asparagus -too many-) or bacterial infections may produce bad smell in urine. A urinalysis may help clarify this.
