Temple pain: Many conditions can cause this type of symptom. Pain in the temporo-mandibular joint is one cause. It is worse with opening and closing the mouth. Another is inflammation of the temporal artery. This can be diagnosed with a blood test. This is a problem that is best evaluated by a medical provider face-to-face, not over the internet.

Consult with PCP: While this may be a simple migraine or other type of headache, by your explanation it could be something more concerning called temporal arteritis if it is persistent. Would visit with a health care professional who can do a Physical exam and labs. Here is a link to more on temporal arteritis: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000448.htm
