Maybe, but...: You're describing a symptom that could well be restless-leg syndrome, or what is now being called Willis-Ekbom disease (don't know what was wrong with the old name). Check out www.rls.org to see if you have the full syndrome. In someone your age, it's probably idiopathic. If it's RLS, you have a 50% chance of having a relative(s) with RLS. Ask. It's treatable.

Very common but: The crawling sensation on the extremities can certainly be caused by anxiety but other conditions may exist. Restless leg syndrome causes the same "crawling sensation". It is usually worse at night but can occur at other times. Monitor and journal when this happens and consult with your physician. Keep caffeine and stimulants to a minimum. Exercise routinely and eat well. Good lick.
